Okely dokely You are getting there promptly to hook up We do all hope to share the electrickery so no one is left all flat and depressed, as long as it is all paid for there are no problems.
Remember to bring your bikes, lovely ride round the reservoir and the local lanes are fairly quiet. Lots of walking to be done too so pack your boots

We will be having a mini meet from the 16th to the 18th of September, or longer if you wish, at The White Horse PH Tattingstone, Suffolk.

We had a great meet here in April and the general consensus was we must 'do it again'.

For anyone that missed the thread last time or who has joined since the following is a reminder about the venue.

This site is just a couple of hundred metres from " Alton Water " a vast man-made lake, created in the 1970s and 80s to supply drinking water to the people of South Suffolk.

You can do the 8 mile cycle round the lake, watch the yachts sailing, see all the wildlife or just go for a walk. There are loads of footpaths and a great walk round the nearby quiet end of the water. Dogs are more than welcome

The pub does food and on the Sunday (if you can stay for it) is a buskers night. Very low key but those of us who made a night of it in the pub really enjoyed it. Even those drinking the 'Grumpy Bastard' beer

There are 5 electric hook ups, sharing is possible, as long as they are paid for the landlord is easy going about who uses them. The fees are £7 a night without electricity and £9 a night with. We will be putting a Marquee up so we will have a :sin::sin::sin: shade.
We will be at the site by the Thursday (15th) and will stay until Tuesday (20th) or so So if you want to be there for longer than a weekend that would be fine.

We have decided that twelve vans would be a nice number to give everyone plenty of room.

Bob and I had a day out down at Alton Water recently and made a discovery!!!!

Just around the reservoir (3.5 miles on foot or bicycle) from The White Horse pub is the Royal Hospital School. This school is now a public school but has it's roots in Greenwich and the education of the children of anyone connected to the sea. They have a school band who are so impressive were invited to play at the England v France Sixth Nations Rugby match at Twickenham on Saturday 26 February this year. The band led the singing of ‘Jerusalem’ and the two national anthems in addition to playing traditional English rugby songs during the pre-match entertainment. Regaling people with not only their performance but the marching that accompanies it.
On Sunday the 18th of September at 11am they will be performing Divisions on the parade ground at the school and our group would be most welcome to go and watch :thumb:

We had a meet here in April, and everyone enjoyed themselves, if you could stay the Sunday night they have the Buskers in that weekend, we enjoyed it last time, and they sell real ale. Bob.
