After the withdrawal from MotoGP, it had to be expected I suppose. Hawk Racing with Buildbase laboured on long enough with an ageing bike that was only going to win in the rain!

AS the market for out-and-out sports bikes diminishes annually, what's the point in race developing a bike that won't sell?
Besides which, Suzuki are stopping production of the GSX-R range of sports bikes from this year.
May be the opportunity for a production-based adventure bike race series?

Looks like they'll have to hope that someone starts a series for 800 parallel twins or 1000 fours that aren't R spec....
