i think they are too dear, but not a rip off,the best thing is you can source the components cheap and build your own:thumb:

I have just realised a problem with these devices. They are great for bulk charging but will only take your batteries up to a certain level. Great idea for people who go away for a week or two at a time and can fully charge batteries at home but for a fulltimer who needs to keep the batteries conditioned I don't think it would be suitable.

I currently have a 25 amp el cheapo charger and have decided to go the sterling 50Amp route when I get the funds together. Half the charging time and will condition my batteries...

Still learning since 2010
Being newish to MHing I bought a Kiam 1000 watt suitcase type genny, and as yet have not used it in anger. Haven't needed it so far.

Anyway, my point is that it has a charger built in so I don't see the point in buying anything else. But I did !!!!

I bought one of those jump start packs that have a built in tyre inflator, lamp etc., as a "belt and braces" security blanket. It's main down side is that you have to remember to keep it's battery charged every now and again. And guess what. I haven't used that yet either (thankfully not needed).

What I am trying to get round to saying is that I can charge both of my batteries (van and leisure) as and when the need may arise for a modest outlay for a generator.

Having said that, I still want solar panels !!!!!
