Sunny Eastern Algarve (1 Viewer)

Last minute decision to have a long(ish) weekend in the Algarve. Set off at 10.15pm (from central Portugal) and had a beautiful, moonlit drive arriving in Cabanas near Tavira at 4.30am.

Just got up...

It is very sunny and warm.

Motorhoming is BRILLIANT...

Hi superK,

Are you a wild camper or do you prefer sites? If the former do you like to be with others or on your own? Tavira is a cool town and there are several places to wild camp. Most are too busy for me (of course it is constantly changing.)

I park in Cabanas which is sometimes quiet and sometimes less so. Quite busy now with about 8 or nine others. There is a new, quite big campsite recently opened just up the road by the 125... big signs tell you about it as you head west from Villa Real...

Weather very nice today...

Oh yes, Joaquin at the Roda Bar (last restaurant along the beach side road in Cabanas heading East) has the best toasta mistas in the whole of Portugal...

Roquetas de Mar

The weather here has been fab for the past few days. Here till Monday week then off to Peniscola, Barcelona, Carcassone and onwards. Hope the sun shines all the way home to Plymouth
