At least it is in my garden with the first blooms appearing.

I thought I'd share my current pride & joy, absolutely gorgeous with flower heads 8 1/2" across.......needed to snap a pic before the deer and the rabbits got at it :Doh:

Any guesses as to what it is? no prizes though :roflmto:

You and JC both............he's an expert with the weedkiller spray but I have to walk round with him to make sure he doesn't spray everything in sight :RollEyes:

I did manage to grow one from last years seeds....they are exceedingly hard to cultivate especially when they are left outside in the frost :RollEyes: anyway, my little seedling survived the elements only to be scoffed by a snail! :cry: :cry:

thought it was a chinese/japanese peony then changed my mind - is it very rare ?

Its a Japanese tree peony....fairly rare and flippin expensive in the local garden centre - woe betide any rabbit which comes remotely close - the air rifle is permanently sited where I can grab it quickly :roflmto:
