As I went passed the motorhome this morning I smelt an eggy smell.
We checked it out and it seems to be strongest in the gas locker.
We have the gas turned on but not in use.
where might the eggy smell be coming from.
Grey waste plugs smelt okay.
Black waste was empty but smelt fine and we have out some chemicals in to make sure.
Please help shed some light on our pongy plight.

Check your batteries one of them propably hot and giving of hydrogen sulfide, if so disconnect charger immediately as there is a risk of the battery exploding.

If its sulphur its the battery gassing Hydrogen, but it could be gas leeching in to your rubber hoses or a leak. LPG has a smelly chemical added called ethyl mercaptan. It is an organosulfur compound with the formula CH3CH2SH and can smell sulphur like.

Maybe not cooked but certainly brewing. Egg smell is hydrogen, as mentioned above. It could be a heavy charge or excessive charge, discharge, or short in the plates. Look for the batteries condition ASAP. Gas smell is similar, but very distinguishable compared to hydrogen. Also, location of smell, gas goes down, hydrogen rises and goes through almost anything, very hard to contain. It will vent UP.

First night we have left it in hook up. Surely a coincidence?
Could be faulty charger over charging. Once you have disconnected the faulty battery turn the charger back on and measure the voltage across the battery. It shouldn't be more than 14.5v.

Over 50degC is surely done some damage, let it cool and measure voltage. I would not use it again after plates have warped, it can short on next charge/ discharge.
