I'm looking for a campsite in the Sud Tyrol for 2-3 nights,
Everywhere is full, however I thought I'd found one, it's pretty good, 4 star with a pool, it oddly has a couple of spaces...... at €86.00 per night!

Now I maybe from London and not Yorkshire, but even I balk at that price !

(looks like it may be Aldi car park for the night then)

You don't say what time of year you are thinking about or approximate areas. The sud Tirol is quite large!!

If it is before the end of June have you tried the ACSI sites?

ACSI site 2584 best to call them. Stayed for a week at the beginning of June.Good cycling.

Lovely site in Predazzo ACSI 2583 site as well again call them, fabulous staff and good cycling. (There is a theme!)

These might be slightly too far south for you, but yes sites very expensive if not ACSI.

Don't know anything about this but came up on ACSI motorhome sites.

Brains did you get yourself sorted?
Yes,

Found "Camping Zogghof"
In St Leonard right on the south side of the Timmelsjoch Pass (north of Meran/Bozen)

It has a bad web presence which means it does not come up on many searches.
Nice little campsite, and only €28 pn which is half the going rate around here.
Built on 7 terraces, so it's a steep climb up to the bar, but an easy decent to the very decent showers.

Yup

Since lunch rain has been at biblical levels up here in the mountains as well!
28c yesterday, 18c today.

Our site is next to the Timmelsjoch Pass road, all traffic stopped a couple of hours ago, I guess it may be snow at the top!

Just heard from a friend who stays regularly at Cuneo aire that there is lots of rain! Are you on the aire or in the carpark? My friend said that the police had appeared, apparently over a family who had set up three tents in the carpark!

violet no we are staying in a small campsite in Peveragno higher up! Made it back from Cuneo before the heavens opened! I think we might modify our cycle plans tomorrow as we suspect some of the mountain passed may have some issues.

I shall look the campsite up. Thanks. We go to that area quite often and for a couple of days, usually for the Tuesday market, we stay in the Cuneo aire (if we can get in). It is so easy to walk into the city via the funicular.

Hi violet this is the website. It is ACSI until June 30th but I think it is about 3/4 Euros more outside of that.

There are quite a few 'permanent' caravans most in pretty good shape but it does get busy at weekends. We are not too bothered as we are out on the push bike! There is a small pool, again quiet during the week but busy at weekends. Bus is 2.20 Euro to Cuneo and is hourly.

We wouldn't hesitate to come back.

One last thing violet there was some noise from the restaurant/sports club last night which went on quite late.

Not sure if that would be an issue for you.

Thanks for this alert. Unusual to have the noise midweek. It would be an issue if we were on a pitch close enough to be disturbed. We both like peace and try not to make noise for others. We have a pop-top T5 so noise can be more of a problem for us.
