Bee (Alan and Brenda) are stuck on the A16 in France, they're on their back to the UK. they hope to be able to carry on their journey in about 3 hours, anyone else stuck anywhere.

No, but am I glad we didn't choose to return through France! Currently in Haro and will watch the weather to make sure no nasties emerge to impede our progress later in the week to Santander. Just hope the weather has cleared in UK before we land at Portsmouth on Sunday.

Next year it'll be Spain until June.

Do hope Bee keep safe and find their way back soon.

As you may have read, we got caught in the UK side last night and had to bed down in Dover..
I did txt Polarbear, Graham and Jayne who came on the Morocco trip and were coming home a few days after us. They txt back to say they where stuck near Rouen but not heard anymore...

Well they said at lunchtime on R2 they had closed both the A16 and the A 23 (I think?) in France; no high speed trains running in N France so both Eurostar and the Chunnel were stopped and this afternoon, the M20 here was a carpark up to Jct 8.

It only needs a plague of locusts sometime in N Europe this year and we'll have had it all really .....

Thank goodness we just missed that lot. We sailed out Dover-Calais on Saturday morning on an early ferry and arrived in Benidorm on Monday night. We didn't see any bad weather all the way down :thumb:.
