We have a 2021 Globecar Roadscout.

For the last few days, I haven’t been able to get the blind on the side sliding door window to open fully. It opens a bit then sticks on the right-hand side. Sometimes I can get it down half way, sometimes most of the way, and once I managed to get it all the way down. This morning it’s stuck only one quarter open.

It also sometimes feels a bit sticky when I close it.

I’ve tried carefully cleaning the runner guide but that didn’t help. I do have some lubricant spray which states it is safe for plastics, but I am a bit nervous to use that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

The spring on the roller is operating. Best to remove all the rubber bungs that are in the outer edge of the surround, undo the screws and the complete assembly will come off with mesh, and blind. Be careful that then it will only be the sealer holding your window now in place.
Or if that isn’t an option now squirt your lubricant into the bottom corners and that may free things up.

I don’t feel confident taking things apart just now as we are touring.

I might try the lubricant spray we bought here in Spain but it isn’t silicone spray.
