Does anyone know where to source the stretchy, thick, Lycra type material that is often used for t5 curtains. I have a very custom area for a curtain and want to use that type, but can’t find the material (without already having been made into curtains) anywhere.

I don’t know what the T5’s have but there’s lots of fabrics online. Look for elastane fabric. Croft Mill have some.

Normally the material used in Motorhomes is thermal insulating material, try searching for that.

I'm not sure what the fabric looks like - can you post a photo?

But generally for furnishing stretch fabric, I would look for ITY (interlock twisted yarn) medium or heavy weight stretch jersey fabric.

Minerva Crafts website is quite good for Jersey fabrics.

How about this one, it may be worth getting a sample?

Alternatively, what about contacting Vanstyle and asking if they'd sell you some fabric (assuming they manufacture the curtains to order), or better still could they make up the curtains to your dimensions/ specifications? Those curtains on the link seem very good value to me.

Yes, they are good value. That’s a good idea - hadn’t thought of asking them to make something custom. I have asked a few places where their fabric is from or whether I can buy some that hasn’t been made into curtains, but haven’t received any replies.

Other option is to ask the company if they have an offcut that will do what you want so you can make one up yourself.
