Strange Sign (1 Viewer)

Hordley is a small village in Shropshire and this is the sign that greets you as you enter.
I took this shot because it looked like it was reminding you to wash your hands
But the sign was up long before we were encouraged to sing "Happy Birthday"
So it puzzles me.

Does anyone know what it's supposed to be??

How dull!

That last shot makes it a lot clearer (the SPEED bit helps)
but what a strange hand/thumb!
- even my arthritic old mother didn't have a hand as bad as that!

I had thought the 'arm' was a bottle of sanitiser!
This is the problem you get when trying to communicate through pictures...
