Sitting in the queue to get on the ferry today at Santander the police suddenly arrived and collared a bloke hiding under the MH two back from us.

They targeted the vehicle so it wasn't random. It happened very close to the loading ramp where about 5 MHs including ourselves were asked to park up while they shoved some cars and lorries in ahead of us. It was close to a fence and it is possible the guy vaulted it somehow and squeezed under the nearest vehicle. A coach built jobbie, I think he would have struggled with our PVC.

The police may have spotted him on CCTV.

Alternatively, the MH may have parked up outside the port and he snuck under then. We saw a few MHs parked near the port.

How he was going to get off is interesting. Mingle with passengers then find another vehicle to take him off? Probably, he was quite smartly dressed. Looked European.

Yes, but they weren't under the vehicle floor. But who knows what a desperate person can do?

The point of my post was just to draw attention to the fact it isn't just Calais where there is a problem, and secondly even if you get onto a ferry free of Klingons you might have one when you drive off. :)
