How are things on the other sites?

It doesn't look too 'wet' in Ed's first post, just wondering if it's mainly La Torretta that has the worst of it?

Think it is mainly LA Toretta, apart from some wind damage to awnings and covers things aren't so bad in Villasol. Lovely sunset this evening with red sky, so bodes well for tomorrow, hopefully normal service will be resumed.
Cheers

Have you seen the video of Albufera in Portugal both the camp and the town under deep water, in the camp the reception office is about 2 foot deep, the way down to the town is like a river. Pete

Now cleared totally in Totana, cloudless sky, hopefully will continue to clear in the worse effected areas further north of here.
Missed the new Hunt series as the storm gathered last night, thats the extent of it, we got off light.
Have to resort to iPlayer to view later.

I'm parked behind Benidorm circus on high ground at La Torreta, and looking through windows this morning a couple in caravan were badly flooded out.
They were struggling big time with the deluge of water, so a few of us waded down and helped them get their belongings on higher ground and a caravaner brought his newish Range Rover down and pulled them out on to higher ground. Just amazed me how many people just watched.

John.

Wow! We thought it was bad here in Zahora! Nothing like Benidorm or Portugal though! Very wet and quite windy but awnings are still standing and we aren't flooded out!

Thunder & lightening @ Bonterra Park, plus a river running down the main road, but luckily all pitches have good drainage. Roll on "Summer" :cooler::cooler:

Tony I am on Bonterra!!,only seen one funster flag flying,
If you see a mad lady pushing a doggy buggy, calling her dog all the time, because he takes no notice of me,run the other way! That's me.:Eeek::clap2:

Still making mistakes! But they're not as costly.
Torreta floods every year to some degree. It's well known for it. There was some wind damage on Raco, but only because the gusts reached over 75 mph. No real flooding problems though as the site is excellently drained.

Since 2007. But no more.
If this awning was raised 3 feet it must have happened before
Yes, apparently it happened a few weeks ago and a Dutchman who was here in his Motorhome had this caravan with awning sent from Holland and placed on the site.
The caravan is raised on steel work about 4 feet off the ground and the Awning is on wooden staging.
We were told that the same happened recently and saw pictures of the flooding, so at the earliest opportunity we moved higher up, when a pitch big enough came available.
The Dutch owner left to take his Concorde Charisma home on Friday and is flying back to use the caravan.
We didn't get up till late Monday morning, so weren't aware that it had flooded again and to be honest the rain and wind were so noisy you couldn't hear anything else.

No flash floods, storms or gales here at Quinta Majay in Portugal.

I was mowing on Sunday.

Both my wells are STILL dry after the drought...

JJ

Are you still alive then. I thought I'd missed the funeral.
