Stopover near Tunnel (1 Viewer)

We're heading down to the tunnel after work tomorrow, crossing early Thursday

We require somewhere to overnight, due to probably arriving around 10pm I presume the Canterbury Aire is out, Don't want a truck stop as we need to be rested for ongoing travel the next day

Yes, the Aire will be closed to arrivals at that time.

The Camping and Caravan Club site in Canterbury has a late arrivals parking area right next to the entrance if that is of interest.

The C&MC have ferry pitches on a designated area at Black Horse Farm site which can be accessed late at night

Alternatively, go straight over and head to Bergues, free aire, turn up park, dont get out and continue journey in morning, only an hour further down the road. (assuming you are heading Bergues direction)

Or as per the post above this one about parking outside

We always use the carpark at Farthing Common which is about 4 to 5 minutes to the tunnel.

Thanks for all the suggestions, we took a chance on the Canterbury Aire, arrived at 10.35pm, through barriers and in

I think they have installed a new entry system recently, allowing 24hr access
