Hi does anyone know of a good stopover (CL/CS not far from Newhaven. Catching ferry to Dieppe on Monday 3 June and return Sunday 30 June 2019. Just for one or two nights.
Thanks
Colin

There was a CL (in 1916) ,don't know if it's still operational. : Mrs.D A Yorke, South Heighton Farm, South Heighton, Newhaven BN9 0JH Tel. 01273516359.

South Heighton is still in the CMC listings. We stayed there a few years ago and it was ok - 10 mins from the port.

Alfriston Camping Park, there is a big field just turn up and pay Frank of TV's Hunted fame, or there is a CL which you can book. Alfriston is a lovely village with a stunning church, lots of fine food and 3 or 4 pubs.

Hi
We have used the hope pub, opposite ferry terminal. Also the car park at the end, just past the pub, which has a height barrier. Get there before the attendant leaves at 4ish & he will let you in. Fee for the night was £3 last year. He returns at 9am so your locked in for the night.
We have had several good nights there.

+1 for the hope, good pub good food and dog friendly

We tried to park at The Hope Pub but were told doesn’t let you use their car park when the pub quiz is on (Wednesday I think) or Saturdays. The car park at the end of the road is OK in the summer if you don’t mind being locked in!

We usually stay in the port car park. You don't have to pay if you're booked on a ferry. You can stay in the queue too if you like as no other ferries are leaving.

We stop in a Britstop in Telscombe when we come back
