Hi Funsters

Could anybody recomend somewhere for us to park for the night ie pub stop or free cam, idealy half way between Plymouth and Liverpool. We would do it in one go but we have baby Thomas with us and he gets a cob on when we drive to far in one day.

Thanks ;)

Eddie Vanbitz (of this parish)'s Cornish Farm site. Just off the M5 at Taunton, cant be far off half way, very nice site and reasonably priced. What more could you want, except it isn't free?

Free overnighting at the Jenny Ring craft centre just off the M5 at Hanbury near Worcester. Some very nice craft stalls and has a great tea room for a breakfast

Some folk have strange ideas where Taunton is! :xsmile: It is south of Bristol and less than an hour and a half from Plymouth. A long way from half way between Liverpool and Plymouth. Somewhere around Gloucester or Worcester is nearer to halfway. :xdoh:

How about the car park at Upton on Severn where overnighting is allowed.

They had a CC meeting at Tewksbury a few years back.
The CC described Tewksbury as being in the 'West Country'.

That was until someone pointed out that they had travelled further from Zennor in Cornwall to the meeting than his mate from Gretna Green.

I'm with John @John Laidler on this one.

In Tewkesbury we get ITV West Country local news and BBC Birmingham local news! I think we are allowed to choose wether we want to be West Country or the Midlands as no one can make their mind up. Either way it's nice here.

Being pedantic, it's 231 miles to Zennor and 295 miles to Gretna Green......

Not wishing to play 'Oh no it isn't, ' (It is after all the panto season, Ho Ho Ho. Bah Humbug) but, according to my via michelin, (other sites are available) Tewkesbury to Gretna is 240 miles. But I take your point.
It must just feel a damn sight further.
