To Whom it may concern or the guilty party.... Kindly stop throwing take away on my van roof! That includes the 2 ladies in the silver Hymer.

Not only is it not funny first thing of a morning when visited by the local population of seagulls at dawn on finding said leftovers - but have just had 3 days solid having SWMBO constantly reminding me that she is convinced that the birds may have pecked holes in said roof of MoHo and your truly should get up there to check ......... NOT FUNNY.

Oh dear ... What are old ladies like nowadays!

Why do you think posting on here will help ?
Did they have a FUN sticker in the window ?
You could always try speaking to them.
Where are you parked, not on a campsite I'd guess ?

Well that sort of response doesn't help - could do with some re-assurance for her indoors...

We don't know a great deal about your motorhome and not sure if there are any seagull experts here so it's difficult to comment but in my own opinion, generally I don't think the gulls, big as they are will be pecking holes in the roof although I'm sure it must sound like they are.

As your dearest suggests, getting up there for a look will confirm; again without knowing your van, a suggestion to pop your head out the skylight for quick look might not work for you.

You could as said speak to the ladies/fellow campers directly and/or report to the site management.

If it's bad, are you able to move at all...

Not parking outside the 🍟 shop may help.

You haven't been running a generator by any chance have you?

You could buy a cat to live on your roof ...

Can’t have been a very good chip shop if people are throwing them away.
maybe the fish was better 🐟

I agree with Figaro, no use complaining on a forum site.
Talk to them if you're certain about the two ladies.....but we know you won't.
Tell her indoors birds can't peck there way through a fibreglass roof.

If I actually saw anyone throwing chips onto my roof I'd deal with it there and then.
Perhaps the gulls had taken the chips onto your roof after they had been discarded elsewhere?

I think it very unlikely they will peck holes in the roof. They will probable sh!t all over it though.
Would that make it a shit and chip shot ;)

bird shit WILL burn through the paint and cause rust that makes holes, but the only bird capable of pecking through a roof is gigantic and you would be driving away fast rather than argue. Reminds me of a moron on a THS who went mackerel fishing then gutted them at the field's water tap. The shitehawks were delighted but the blood and guts dripped all over vans and awnings was far from funny

Just to remind you that if you catch a few Gulls, you can eat them. However they are very Salty, so best if you bury them in the garden for a few days, as this leaches the salt from them.

C'est bon a savoir! Bon chance!

Not ’better’ but ‘batter’ 😉
So just buying chips means you may not get salt and battered then..
