Hi all,
We are still on the hunt for our first .motorhome and currently we are looking at a Burstner Lyseo I 720. I would welcome comments (good or bad) on this model please.

Well we've just bought a Burstner Lyseo T745 so I'm not going to say anything against it, (y)
Roll on 2nd June when we pick it up :giggle:
I understand, good luck and happy motorhoming !!

Burstner is a good make, part of the Hymer Family. I had a 2006 Mercedes Sprinter T-Star 710.When I worked at Travelworld as a Motorhome Technician the Sales manager even tried buying it from Me for stock { I said no thanks }. It was a tad long at 25FT so sold and bought a 2006 19FT Dethleffs Globebus as My Avatar pic. Dethleffs are also a good van.

Yes Machzoneman, we have looked at Dethleffs at Travel World and Elite, nice vehicles. We have now honed down choice to Burstner's,Pilote and Hymer. We looked at the Burstner today and plan looking at the other two 1st June when dealers reopen.

I am just about to push the button on buying a Burstner Lyceo also. What are your initial impressions please? And if not too rude could I ask what you paid please ?

Thanks

Hi Wizz, in the end we purchased a Hymer. We looked at the Burstner at Timberland near Chesterfield. As I'm sure you will know the 720 has two rear single beds which we wanted, but low down so very little outside storage. The bed height suited my wife, but in the end we felt the lack of storage put us off. This model has a rear bathroom with seperate shower which we really liked, however this ment guests would have to come past your beds in the night! Other than that the quality was good and came with a number of options (awning, solar, 2nd leisure battery, spare wheel etc) that we had identified as a must haves. The dealer agreed to down plate from 3850kg to 3500kg, this left us with a 420kg payload. The dealer had x3 vehicles, all 2018 manufactured but unregistered. The window price was £73k, but had reduced one to £67k to attract customers. Therefore I would assume he would trim a bit more off the £67k, I would think £64k or a bit better. Hopes this helps.

Hiya
We bought a new Lyseo T728G in 2017 - (ordered NEC 2016) they only seemed to do the initial run of Lyseo’s for one year then changed to Harmony Line etc (from what I’ve seen anyway). Ours was factory order with bigger engine and extras (some of which are now standard on newer models but obviously the basic price went up). The only thing they forgot was the outside shower 🤨, dealer offered to do it but tbh we didn’t want it messing with. Not any teething problems, we were prepared for a few niggles etc but nothing, it’s been perfect and we love it. Go for it 😁👍🏻.

PS - I’m aware your model is the A Class but build quality etc I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again, wouldn’t mind exchanging for A Class but can’t see that coming any time soon and we do love our van 😁

We we’re looking at a similar list about 18 months ago in the end went for the Pilote 2016 plate very low mileage. No real problems very happy with the build quality and the internal finishes/lighting etc. Wouldn’t hesitate in buying the same brand again! Strangely there are 3 Pilote vans within a mile of our house so I guess they must be doing something right.👍🤔
