April 2016 Lots to Learn!
Hi all , just wondered if anyone has the MH above. We have looked at this model and would like to hear any opinions views that Motorhomers might have. Described as a 4 berth in write up (1 is a fixed rear bed) and we assumed that the dinette converted to the other double, but didn't see it demonstrated. Confusion arose when other adverts for same year and model describe it as 3 berth.
Trying to do our home work for a first MH as per Jims Guide. Model we looked at was 2009.
Thanking all you in advance.

Do you need 4 berths?

If so, in our opinion , a six berth van would be a better option from a point of allowing a bit more elbow room!

Its nice not to have to make up the lounge in the morning. It gives somewhere to park bums whilst you all take it in turns for your ablutions and getting dressed!

Kinda settled on 4 berth for Grandchildren coming along sometimes, but were drawn to a lowline model. The fixed bed was certainly a bonus on this one along with the huge washroom. Thanks

Have you considered one of the new breed of low profiles with a roof bed which lowers from above the lounge?
You get the svelte outer styling and six berths!

Just an example of many-

This one has a separate rear bedroom for you and a drop down double over the lounge.

The Nexxo T660 is a fairly similar layout to our t625 Harmony, the main difference being the washroom layout (ours has the shower separate, which we find more convenient than a wetroom). Very happy with our van.

The general rule is, for 2 people get a 4 berth, for 4 people get a 6 berth, and so on. It always worked for us. Try and think of your needs, ie, for us a garage for the motor scooter is a must. You should write down your must haves. Things like solar panels, satellite, etc can always be added later if needed.

Trying to do our home work for a first MH as per Jims Guide.

Good first step but the only way you'll know is to go and live in it. You've got the simulate the whole range you will be doing in it from earth moving noisy copulation, having a pee, cooking that 5 course meal to just relaxing when it's too wet to go out.

We have a 2009 Nexxo T660, our first MH and have only owned it for a couple of months, so not experts.
We've spent a fair few nights away in it and love it, no problems or niggles with layout so far.
It seems solid and well made, easy to drive (Ford) and very comfortable.
The fixed bed is great, you can watch the TV either from the bed or the lounge area - the TV is in a handy tambour cupboard above the kitchen and can be positioned easily. The dinette seats do make up into a smallish double, although it's a bit of a faff (but maybe the same as any other van where you have to put in extra boards and cushions). It's great for two of us but I wouldn't think it very roomy for more than that except on an occasional basis - but, as I say, we are newbies so maybe have a rosetinted view of how much room there needs to be in a MH!

The shower is great, surprisingly roomy, and the bifold doors so you can separate the shower from the loo and basin work well. Only slight annoyance is the lack of a shelf by the basin for tootbrushes etc. The draining board by the kitchen sink is handy.
We'd definitely go for another Burstner as we are so pleased with it.

We've had out t660 for 4 years, and we just can't fault it. Well-made, comfortable bed, and plenty of room for 2 people and 2 large dogs. However, it is definitely not a 4-berth. We've never tried to make up the extra bed, as we've no need.
We love our van, and would definitely go for Burstner again, but if you're wanting to take 2 grandchildren with you, I don't think the t660 is the van for you.

Hi Thanks for taking time to reply you've covered loads of points for us. It seemed to tick the boxes but it is easy to get carried away.

We made that mistake. Grandkids ( who do live 200 miles away ) have never been away in it, we have taken them out in it for the day when they've visited us but all in all we could have bought a better layout without the 6 seat belts had we known this would happen.
