Sticky seat belts (1 Viewer)

Has anyone a suggestion on how to free up sticky seat belts ?
They pull out fine but don't recoil freely or fully..

From a trade point of view, seat belts are a highly safety critical item and as such, seat belt repair is a no no.
all we are prepared to do, is remove, inspect and blow out with an air line and re fit.
Under no circumstances should fluids oils etc be applied to a set belt mechanism.
replacement is the correct course of action.:Eeek:

better hide the WD40 then..:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'll take them off and try blowing them out.. :thumb:

You can buy a graphite spray which is longer lasting than wd40 pull the belt out fully and spray both sides of the mechanism and bob's your aunty ::bigsmile:
The belts arnt very technichal they just get clogged with crap:winky:
