Steralise fresh water system

Hoping someone can help me! I have an 06 Eldis Autoquest and want to steralise the fresh water system before we go away. I have a bag of Citric Acid but do not know the ratio of water to acid, and how lond to leave it in the system before flushing through. Any help would be appreciated.

Citric acid is normally used for descaling not sterilising. I use Aquaclean tablets at one tablet per 25 litres. Dissolve them in hot water in a watering can is quickest. Then add to tank and run taps until you can taste the water has the stuff in it. You don't have to drain it out but you can, I would leave it in for at least 48 hours if you plan to refill with fresh. I always carry a packet in the van as occasionally you can collect dodgy water.
