I have emailed Autotrail they don't bother even responding ever!!! I have emailed them numerous times
anyone know Directors email address ?
<and now emailed sergeant ,waiting for a response

heads up Autotrail gave me the answer its in a hidden menu

No not the same Louis this accurately tells me to enter the advance settings

  • Press and hold the settings symbol, for around 10 seconds until the screen changes
  • The top left configuration needs to be set to “none”, this will stop the step from functioning

Why not just push the button by the entrance step handle and retract it?

the automation when you start and stop the engine it operates the step , and when you press to lock the doors from inside, it pushes the manual step out of the way

I had an Auto trail for few years, only just sold it, the step retracts on turning the ignition but only extends on the remote central locking, not when you turn the engine off. If you manually unlock your habitation door from the inside the step stays in. There's a switch on the side of the wardrobe which will either extend or retract the step at any time... very handy for letting the Douanes and their dogs in your van at French ferry ports.
