The newish "aire" at Alvor. €4 with water and waste facilities. Electricity on its way.


Great company but time to move.

Going to Portimao Marina for the laundrette.

Then... who knows?

We had a couple of days there a week or so back. Another couple might have been good but that's about enough, probably.

4 Euros per day !!!. Money to burn. For another 11 you could have full facilities including electric, wifi, Coronation Street, swimming pool, 50" TV to watch football, but most importantly, my company .

Am happy to hear you have seen the light regarding football my old friend, but it has taken you long enough .
Now you have stopped discussing that foolish game come and join me for breakfast. Me being on a diet you can have my sausages. Anyway I need someone foolish enough to help launch my boat. Pat refuses, cant imagine why .
PS, Bring your Solex as I have just acquired another iron horse, an old Dutch Spatamet and we could have races along the prom. Solex angels and all that stuff .

Just rolled into Silves.

The rumours that the off-site parking is ending have been going around for months and months and months.

The most consistent one was that the "powers to be" were moving everyone off and setting up an aire for which there will be a small charge.

Indeed the gravel part of the place by the river has been fenced off and men arrived and pottered about with a digger for three days.

Nothing has happened since and so everything seems to be the same as last year and the year before and the year before....

Off to Alvors in a few days. Tried it briefly and it will do us for a while. Lovely beach!

Stayed there for a night last year,had to move as getting sand blasted!
Moved about a mile further along for a couple of days, large car park next to beach and restaurants and no problems
