I have just replaced the starter battery on my Fiesta, it was just starting the car with a struggle last few days. I bought a replacement from Halfrauds with a trade-card, making it really cheap, much cheaper than the usual motor factors I use.
However, I am really upset about the original Ford car battery as it has only lasted 11 years and that is terrible. All the experts say 5 years for the life of one and I get 11 years, I feel hard done by with all this excess life.
I will be keeping this car until it finally dies of old age as it is not worth buying another diesel with the newer rates of road tax, £30 is just about right for me.

Man you was robbed take it back under warranty and demand that you give them some money back and that you expect it to be donated to the poor MH damp van society.?

I have had our MH 10 years and the starter battery with it, and I do not know how long it had been in there before that.

Our service garage says don't change it before you have to, because anything you buy now will not be as good.

We have EHU at home and when travelling the B2B charger keeps all the batteries well topped-up which probably helps with their life.
