Fab, that saves you a lot of messing about. It might be an idea to fit a little inline fuse to that lead when you have a chance 👍

In fact I found a fuse, it was just hidden in a dark corner!
Just need to again thank everyone for your helpful comments. The new battery is installed and working fine.
I would normally pay someone to do jobs like this but my regular fixer has gone awol recently, I suspect he is inundated. However it's a great feeling when you do it yourself, also gives confidence when something else needs fixing.
Until this year I was a long-term lurker, glad I paid my subs now, worth every penny.
