Just ordered 120w solar panel so I thought I had better make a start on the roof as I knew It needed a bit of a clean. Just a little soapy water to soften and lots of clean water to rinse.

Still got to clean around the roof lights from the inside but not too bad so far.

Job that I hate but once a year it gets done, takes all day!

I did mine at the weekend but it's not as clean as WM's

Am I the only One that cleans the roof every time I wash my Moho??
Yes! :D:D

I do clean mine 2-3 times a year.
Sometimes it’s ladder job, other times a quick clean of the solar panels from the steps.

I do ours every couple of months or when it looks dirty.
Our house is a traditional Breton style meaning we live on the first floor and the van is parked to one side of the driveway in the front garden so I see the roof every day we are at home.
I can only take looking at it for so long if it’s dirty till I have to get the ladders out......

Looks pretty clean today.......

OK, the rest will get done when the weather improves. Just wanted to make sure I got the job finished between the threatening showers! And guess what, it didn't rain.
Yeh, I did do the solar panel as well!
One and only comment from the good lady was "when are you doing the rest"!:swear2:

Do mine every two washes and spray some of carplan no1 on it helps keep the green stuff off, they reckon that one coat is good enough for 12 months ? i know it is only a silicone based one but it works for now.

I pay a man to do ours..
Once a year I give it a birthday treat ! £40 gets me a full wash and scrub up ( inc roof ) and if I supply the polish he does that too :-)

No, I clean mine regularly, I can get at the solar panel through the skylight.

I’ve got to clean the roof when ever I wash the van otherwise it’s a waste of time just washing the sides cause when it rains you get loads of dirty runs on your nice clean van which means washing more often.

That’s the advantage of living in an area full of migrants used to receiving £5 a day.

They must feel rich working for you ?

No
I always wash the roof when I wash the body
Now I am no longer surprised so many people seem to have damp in their roofs. If you are not washing the roof and not inspecting the upper outer seals regularly whilst you are up there, dont be surprised if you get damp.

I keep mine clean , I also found a good couple of coats of polish and wax makes it easier to keep clean takes 10 /15 to wash rather than a whole day

And also stops the rest of the van getting dirty streaks all over it
