morning,
Has anyone been recently and is the 3.5t weight limit enforced still?
Would like to go but we are 5.2t.
Any suggestions for alternatives?
We are at Veulettes Sur mer at mo as Etretat was full.

We spoke to a guy last month who had been there in his motorhome and he was 4.5 tonne, a tag axle so obvious it was not less than 3.5 tonne.

Always fancied the aire but have been put off by the weight limit.
Looking at some of the photos I’m sure some of the vans were well ove 3.5t.

Richard.

Thanks everyone.
I decided not to risk it this time and bypassed it for a night at Le Tréport.
We’re now at St Valery Sur Somme.

It’s now a three way toss up between an extra night here and catch the little train up to Le Crotoy, drive and stay at Le Crotoy Aire or Cayeux sur mer Aire for our last night before travelling back down to Dieppe for the ferry home.

You could go to le Hourdel, free parking just behind the beach, just up road from St Valery, and watch the seals.

Go to St Valery s S and catch Le petit train, or preferably the other way round cos the St V aire seems to be up a long hill which is exceedingly steep which is fine when you trot down it to the sea and shops, restos etc but I wouldn't have wanted to walk up it when I was fit let alone now - and couldn't have done it in the heat of the day anyway.

St V has a lot more to offer commercially than St C. it has to be said - hence worth a visit on that train. Wooden seats, be warned!
