So, in conclusion.... great advice here, many thanks to everyone. I decided in the end not to go with the Sprinter option because another great-looking motorhome came up and after a flying visit I decided to buy it. 2006, Ducati 2.8, Elnagh Slim 5. Really lovely, fixed bed at the back, full shower cubicle in the bathroom, SMEVl gas oven and hob, full size fridge plus a good size separate freezer. I just felt a manual Ducato with a great set of motorhome features was a safe option. Happy bunny!

Not seen one for a Sprinter based motorhome, although they did make one for a commercial Sprinter a while ago. Is it new?
Hymer did have one in their range a few years ago only ran for a year or two.
I notice their top of the range Merc vans have now gone FWD with a Tag axle.
