Hi all

It was mentioned, although not an advisory, that my exhaust was showing some early signs of rusting. I'd rather sort it sooner than later but in taking a look about on google, the usual suspects don't really throw anything up that resembles mine with it running down the RHS and then over the prop shaft.

It's possible that it doesn't need to be like for like...any help advice, links etc appreciated as always.

Cheers Dave

My (315) exhaust broke off and I fixed it with tin cans and Jubilee clips, sufficiently well to pass MOT twice. (y)

However, eventually it got so bad that I tried various exhaust centres but none could provide the correct piece. So I took it to a local "tuning" company who made a stainless steel pipe with complex bends for £300. Expensive but it should last a long time.

Search for companies in your area that make stainless exhausts, only slightly more expensive then a steel replacement and will last if your keeping the van for a while..

Hi, it passed the next MOT ok and it was an advisory again 2019. But on a visit for a new fan belt to my local Mertrux Mercedes dealer I mentioned it and the guy pulled the exhaust options on the computer and there it was. Screenprint attached, I recall it's going to be about £100 for the part.

Hi, I’ve got a 640 star line which has just failed the MOT. Did you get sorted? It’s the Centre piece which goes up and over the axel. Thanks
