After being told don,t mess with sprinter gear box, sprint shift semi automatic done some homework.
Although it's only done 14,000 miles it's a 2005.
Mercedes recommend every 10 year oil change.
I.m a firm believer if you look after something it will look after you.
Gear box itself only takes 1.5 litres.
Hydraulic bit which is the flat part on bottom of gearbox which takes 0.5 litres.
ONLY BUY MERECEDS OILS £20 litre.
Job itself was not to bad just remove three bolts that hold the pump on side g box drivers side.
Filler plug is Large Alan key for gear oil.
Drain plug on bottom of gear box another large Alan key but smaller than first.
Hydraulic tank part , there are a number of small Alan key plugs
One says drain (remove)
One underneath says (control )remove this. This is the level for oil
When you remove bracket for pump it also removes a thin black pipe that is on a 90 degree plastic elbow, this is the breather pipe.
Refit drain plug
I used a new oil can for next bit as I didn't want to contaminate new oil.
Fill oil through the breather hole when it is full it runs out the control hole in bottom of gear box.
Refit control plug job done.
You must have perfectly level MH for this.
There are some drawings on internet if you need took pics on my phone but it won,t talk to iPad.
Hope this helps someone or just encourages you to have a go yourself
