A few weeks ago I placed a thread on here stating that the my habitation door lock had broken and it could only be opened from the inside. After investigation I discovered that a small spring had broken.

Several of you came up with suggestions which were helpful and thank you for them.

Can I ask for your help again as to where I could obtain a spring like this,

When mine broke i used thick piano wire to make a new one any music shop should stock it or readily available on fleabay

I would go piano wire too, radio control airplanes use it, if you have a local model shop, they will have some.
A couple of pairs of pliers will bend it and if you wrap the "circle" part around a piece of pipe or bar that's a bit smaller than the diameter you need, it always "springs" out a bit larger.

I searched for replacement springs but without success.
I know that Dethleffs have supplied spares to owners in the past. You could try the FB group, I know there is a sketch about with different types of springs and part number.
I now make my own, getting the 1mm spring steel from eBay, but they can be a bit tricky to form.
I used a drill shank to form the coil first with enough length in the tails to form the bends with a couple of pairs of small pliers.
Cheers
Ed
Edit: If you make one make a spare !
