In our very limited trip owing to fridge disaster we stopped at some aires.
First one was Bergues which was packed, around 60 vans mainly French and German, perhaps on their way to UK as it is close to channel ports.

Then went to Bleharis (which is just in Belgium) photo attached, which has room for 20 vans but we were all alone there. While there took a pic of this diving bird, which spent most of its time under water, hence not very good pic. Anyone know what it is?

Excellent EJB only don't look for it from my directions abovewhatever you do, cos you'll never find it, cos it's South of Tournai, not Mons! sorry! Ooops.

I would have thought looking at the map with my reading glasses on (if you believe I didn't have em on before that's fine) and from the photo, the aire must be to the right of the 507, cos that's where the river is?

If anyone is thinking of going there I should inform you that there are no dump facilities there. In fact there isn't much there at all apart from a pleasant place to park right by the river which is quite a busy commercial waterway but very quiet at night . There is a friterie right behind the motorhome parking and a baker and butcher adjacent on the riverside. The village is very small though, so handy for an overnight stop but not really a place to visit.
