What the best way to pay for things in Europe, things like Diesel, tolls, site fees etc.

Always taken cash before, but had no site fees then and tolls were for a car and if unmanned then we paid by UK debit card, we also used less fuel than we are likely to with our MH.

We are off to France at the end of March and just wondered what everyone else does :thumb:

Over a number of years I've used a Post Office credit card or a Nationwide Credit Card. Good exchange rates and no other charges.

After weighing up all the pros and cons I'm going for this one. :thumb:

Thanks

Thank you all for your input.:thumb:

After considering what everyone has said i have moved away from what i was thinking, which was a pre loaded card. I have just applied for and been accepted for a Halifax Clarity credit card.
I will still take some cash, i just can't shake that habit.:roflmto:

It's always best to anyway, and avoids the need to be escorted to the nearest cash point, to pay the nice Police Officer your "on the spot" fine, should you be unlucky enough to [STRIKE]attract[/STRIKE] win one. :roflmto:

Cheers,

Jock.
