Speed of Processor??? (1 Viewer)

Can anyone explain how I can find out what the processor speed of my current (oldish) laptop is?

I like the look of the Compac Presario CQ60-214EM (Intel® 1.66 Ghz Dual Core Processor), but apparently this is not very fast??

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Assuming you are running Windows, use System Information under Start - All programs - Accessories - System Tools.

your processor is a 1.66 ghz but, it is a Duel Core so acts as if it has 2 x 1.66ghz chips.
