We are wondering there are any fiat 510 (year 2014) owners that have successfully fitted a spare wheel? I asked my dealer and they said that they would have to see the van before knowing. Surely all Fiat 510's are the same. Something about the waste tank being where the wheel would be.

We are undecided I know it makes sense but we may change the van in 2 years and wonder if the expense is worth it or possible.

We've got the Best of 10 Flash with the Ford base and did a lot of measuring underneath which proved that as it stands there is no way to fit a spare wheel under there. Thought of building a spare wheel carrier to go onto the two bars which the bike rack bolts to, on the rear wall of the MH, but I think the wheel and tyre would weigh about 30Kg which is a large amount of weight to have hanging on the back of the MH.

What I intend to do sometime, and I know it'll be an involved job, is to remove the single large grey waste tank from behind the rear axle and fabricate a couple of new waste tanks which will hang forwards of the axle interconnected by pipework. This will then allow the spare wheel to be fitted behind the rear axle where the exist waste tank sits, plenty of room !

The 510 and 610 have the outlet right in the middle so you CANNOT be sneaky dropping the grey water slowly it all goes wallop.
I would stick the spare inside on a 610 but the 510 hasn't got the garage area so you pays a bit more and get more storage on the 610. you could just take the tank out.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Would not travel without a spare wheel. Manufacturers should be ashamed,,£40000 plus van and no spare,,disgusting. Tyre inflation kit a laugh...BUSBY.
