No its not possible - the spacing of the chassis framework does not allow a tyre to fit in between and anywhere else a tyre would be too exposed and close to the ground.

Yes depending on the make of Motorhome and how the conversion was done. Have a look on ebay, 'ducato spare wheel carrier' always some of varying prices and condition. She Sevel vans have fittings for these behind the rear axle.

Sorry that last sentence should have read "The Sevel vans normally have fittings for the spare behind the rear axle"

There is a bit of space forward of the rear axle that is nearly big enough but you would have to store the wheel almost deflated to get it in.
I would have liked to move mine from the lower wardrobe to gain more space, I did move the tool kit to the gas locker to gain some space.

Unfortunately the waste tank occupies the normal spare mounting area.

There's always the option of fitting it on the back either on a Towbar mount or directly to rear panel, might be helpful if @Chriszuki responded.

Thanks 4 the replies, (yep posted this in the "Benimar" section so didnt elaborate on make.)
Ive got a Ducato panel van for work and the spare is under the floor so was hoping it could go there for the MH, but ive looked at the chassis and its a ladder style so with tanks etc there may not be enough room. we dont get the MH til march 17 so will investigate further then

We are just in the process of changing to a Benimar 202 from Autotrail 620 and just seen this problem with no spare wheel carrier fitted. Given the already ‘tight’ storage provision this could be a real problem.
Did you find any method of storage outside the motorhome which is suitable?

Can be done, this is from the Benimar UK owners Facebook pages, apparently just bolted through rear wall.

Thanks Ratcatcher?

We’re going to give a few trips and see how it goes.

I’ve got a Fiamma back box as well so that’ll help.
