I am looking to buy a spare Thetford c250/260 tank. Looking at the adverts they all seem to have wheels and a handle. Are these removable or am I looking at the wrong thing as the tank fitted has neither.

They newer replacement will fit ok a design change added handels . Use the new one and keep old one as spa

All the C250 / 260 have wheels and handles, are you sure it's not a C200 they never had wheels but do now. 🙂 Bob.

I've been told that the wheels are so small as to make they fairly useless on anything other than smooth hard surfaces. Also the volume of the cassette is reduced so you need to empty more often (assuming that you wait until it is almost overflowing  )

Sadly, you don't get a choice unless you find someone who doesn't do a lot of business. [pun]

I apologise, I am driver, chief cook and bottle washer and internet user, himself is in charge of loo emptying.
it does have wheels and a handle that is used for sliding it out. It looks as if that handle should extend but we haven't fathomed how. I have checked the numbers on the tank and it says 250/260.
Many thanks

Ah, so you can't get the handle out, 😁 when you remove the cassette to empty it, the handle lifts up, you need to be more forceful and lift it above the lugs then it comes out. 😎 Bob.

Are the C200s not available any more?

We have 2 but I was considering getting a third - just to keep up with our friends in France.

Geoff
Yes you can still get the C200, it's for a different toilet (ie C200) to the others so you have to make sure you get the right one as they're not interchangeable. If you only want it to keep up with your friends in France then forget that and get a 'black' tank permanently fitted! :giggle:

Mine has wheels as said earlier they pretty useless I find it easier to just carry it. Even when full it doesn’t weigh very much.

Ours started to leak, from the vent valve, replaced the seal, but it failed again. So I replaced it. Kept the old one with the intention of full refurb; at some future time, as "Spare". They are about £110, with shipping on Flea bay, as I recall.
