Since we are off to Marhjal at the end of Feb, I guess we will need a Spanish map. Are we better off with one of those big spread out type of maps or what? Maybe a book type of map? Any recommendations will be gratefullly received. ::bigsmile:

hi ,i find the best map of spain n portugal is the mapamax.done by the anaya touring club for cepsa. isbn 978-84-9776-945-7 thats the 2010 map. there may be a newer one now. far better than michelin or the aa,philips etc. its a book . 5,90euro in spain. best one ive seen. all the little coves and beaches are named . plus you get a list of where the speed cameras are .also the cepsa garages . for fuel and possibly gas bottles.

we have both - a large spread out map for giving overall view but the book type gives more detail but you can usually only see a small area at one time.

As VW Alan says you cant beat the Cepsa book. Mine is a little out of date being a 2000 one but for touring and sightseeing its the best have ever found.

hi. on mine the radar cameras are little blue numbered markings on the map, ideal if you have a navigator but not so good if solo. but i find the beach markings are the best ever.
dont be put off using the white roads .we take trucks down lots of them.have fun .

Yes, thanks Jane. I've also bought a spread out road map. Hope Bob and Izzy are well. ::bigsmile:
