We are off to Spain in March for the first time in our MH.
I've read lots of the threads here about route, stops etc and I notice several mentions of staying on "Safe Aires". This makes me wonder if there are also unsafe aires and how does a Spain newbie make sure they are selecting the good ones?
All comments welcome. Many thanks.

It’s pretty simple really Aires are really a reference to French Aires the large Picnic type rest areas that you see along all the French Autoroutes/Motorways never overnight on these, look for an Aire in a small town/ village these are safe,In Spain it’s the same, however inviting the large parking/service areas at the side of Motorways look never overnight.
In both France and Spain they are renowned for theft break ins and hassle.
In Spain search out Camperstops again in small towns villages and there are lots of the now.

The Search for Sites App is your friend.

Perfectly explained we use" all the Aires" and never overnight on motorways or main roads, aside from which main road and motorway sites are horrible noisy and busy places to wake up to anyway - why would you ?
