Easter is always a busy time on campsites in Spain especially the ones on the coast, also the rates go up as well.

Thanks. I really am not too worried about being on the coast. We have never liked bucket and spade breaks once the kids had grown up. Quite happy with Aires instead of campsites, but don't mind paying for a nice place.

In case your not aware, Spanish Aires are a bit different from the French ones. Mainly some close parking, some facilities and all payable.
Easter may actually be a quieter time to use them as most people will be on the campsites. As Mikeco says, busy time and coastal sites do get busy and noisy. Head inland if you can until the rush is over.

A popular wild camping spot last Easter.

It'll be busy, and noisy. Semana Santa is a big public holiday for Spanish families, millions head out of the big cities to the countryside and coasts, and camping is very popular given the climate. Spanish kids are by and large very well behaved but they ain't quiet! Expect lots of very big family parties and bbq's.....to which you'll very probably by invited to join if close by. Great fun but you'll not be going to bed early by British standards!

There are actually many free Areas in Spain - see https://www.areasac.es/area-autocaravanas/areasaces/inicio_132_1_ap.html

Unfortunately I do not have enough time to get that book delivered to me. Can it be bought in shops in Spain?
Download CamperContact. It lists free aires in Spain as well as the ones where you pay.

Its not a book, its a website. As John said, Campercontact lists most of the Areas as well. The schools have broken up, so campsites will be busy from now until after Easter.

You'll have a great time Peter
Campercontact has got loads of places - yes Easter is busier, but you'll find Aires have space as they are frequented less by families and more by mature travellers, many of which are now heading north
