This Aire specifically says, no camping behaviour. This is how the French do no camping! :ROFLMAO:

I’m living and letting live! I just thought it was amusing!

He’s had to move his trailer now, so someone can park on the last place.

I never noticed the other trailer originally

I saw a review on park4 night the other day for an aire that said " nice spot 4 dedicated spaces 12 if you're French " I thought it was hilarious

The person sat in the camp chair on the left is also breaking the rules.
Rules are only as good as the willingness or ability of local authorities to enforce them.
Perhaps the Guarda will be along shortly to fine them all.

Apologies, you stated Spain I was thrown by the reference to Aires as I understand Aires as referring to France.

Yes it’s El Grau Castellón del la Plana.

Do people actually stay on those places for more than one night? I have used places like that for an overnight stop en route to a proper place where I can 'camp', for want of a better word, usually in at least 60sq.m of space:)

And they call camp sites 'prison camps'!

Some do ....I tend to only use the service part and then find a more spacious spot.
Only stay on the aire if it happens to be quiet or the closest place to the things I want to see.

Not that fussed about sitting outside in a carpark though I only really do that when near a beach or out in the sticks.

Some park on aires like that for weeks and months though.

Called at nononcort (sp) last week , sometimes see it recommended on here, don't know what it's got going for it, it was full up with about a foot between them, there was one place left but the vans either side of it were right up to the lines with their van body hanging over, also on a big slope, so came out got p4n out and within 5 mile we were parked beside a lake totally on our own.

I'm surprised they getting away with that there as usually there is a guard in the wee hut keeping an eye out.
Most of them park a km along the road at the wee airfield and stay there for weeks on end ....spaces marked out with chairs and bottles of pee

That's like the aire here at Leon, 30 vans with a foot between them ..I've moved less than 1/2 km to a quiet carpark backing on to a huge park.....much quieter and more space

I see they're implementing the 6cm rule..! I guess the car park down the road is probably full of trailers.

One thing it does is highlight the downside of a trailer. I was considering towing a motorbike next time...but looks like it's a problem

It would appear to be a Spanish holiday here. He’s not around and most of the shops are shut.

We like it here for a stopover. It’s overlooking a fantastic beach, with a dog friendly section, it’s free, has a toilet, and water/dumping facilities. We’ve just had three weeks on a campsite, so this makes a change. I couldn’t stop here for long but then I couldn’t stop on a campsite for long either! How people can stay anywhere for months on end, baffles me. The wild camp next to the airfield is absolutely packed!

The beach there is great , I stayed 2 or 3 nights on the airfield and 1 on the aire back in February/March

I stayed here for about a 10 days last year alternating two days then one at the airfield which was dire. I have dogs and it was brilliant going into the dog beach section and short walk into town. I always think of the van as a portable hotel room. They are all joined together but do you care as the point is to get out an enjoy yourself and in the evening with the blinds shut, would you know. We spent a load of time in the beach. The Aire was treated like a campsite but it does have picnic tables on the other side.

If you're interested in stargazing or the universe there are regular presentations in the planetarium often in English. We've been in there on 2 occasions and found it very interesting and it's only a few Euros.

I presume you have a home where you stop for months on end!
