Tonight on the news, it stated that “SPAIN WILL OPEN ITS BORDERS TO VISITORS AS FROM JULY”

But don’t hold your breath! But still looks promising

Got a holiday booked to Gran Canaria in September booked last year. Who knows if it will go ahead. Foolishly Paid large deposit so can’t cancel.

Looks like it but we will probably have to quarantine when we return. Also looks like the French are saying we have to quarantine when we go there sorbet the Calais route ?

You will have to go to Spain on a ferry unless you want to spend two weeks quarantined in France on the way.

Depends whether you can quarantine in your motorhome, we could take enough food for two weeks. only need water and waste dump.

On France 24 it shows the spainish demonstration against the lock down so guess that they won’t be opening up quickly

All quarantine will be over by 1st July. Starts on 8th June with review in 21 days. That puts it at 29th June. Can't see it going past that

Might not have any insurance though unless the Gov say you can go

BORDERS WITH SCHENGEN COUNTRIES TO OPEN FROM 21 JUNE (EXCEPT PORTUGAL)

In his weekly Sunday telephone discussion with leaders of the autonomous communities of Spain, Prime Minister Sanchez has announced that borders with Schengen countries are to be opened earlier than planned, on 21 June, with the exception of Portugal, where the border will open on 1 July.

Third party countries will be allowed in from 1 July, providing that there is reciprocity (i.e. that Spanish visitors will be allowed to visit those countries) AND taking in to account the epidemiological situation. It is still not clear whether the UK will qualify, having announced 181 deaths in the last 24 hours.

UPDATE; QUARENTINE RESTRICTIONS WILL ALSO BE LIFTED AT THE SAME TIME FROM 21 JUNE.
