Any info, Covid restrictions etc on France transit and entry to Spain/Portugal? leaving UK 1st Oct.
Can`t find much reliable info online, even FOC seem a bit vague and contradictory!!
Unable to find info on municipal aires, if they are open or restricted in any way.
Don`t mind jumping through hoops but I don`t Know what hoops to jump through!!

Too soon to say really. On the basis of what's currently going on, we've cancelled our ferry for the 1st September.

UK GOV advice for Spain is no travel unless its necessary...Are you still covered with health and breakdown insurance if you ignore this advice.BUSBY.

Insurance and breakdown is self insured, so yes. GOV.UK seems to change daily and was ok 3 days ago reports are saying it`s better in Spain than UK at the moment.???

Also booked on Santandar ferry for the 4th Sept, was going to Portugal. and a cycling trip to Majorca mid October. Probably going to cancel the both trips, fed up with uncertainty.

We passed into Spain from France yesterday, no restrictions, no sign of any police except the usual van parked outside the old border station. Not seen any British since 😆 except 1 car passed us on a dual carriageway.

Great stuff, thanks for the info.
Have a great time in Spain. Where are you planning to go?

We arrived in Peniscola last night, it's busy with 100% Spanish. Not been in any bars but the Aire is quite full.
Heading for Benidorm tomorrow, apparently that's quite empty apart from old town where the Spanish tend to go. 👍

We’re going via the tunnel on 20th September somewhere hopefully end up in Spain or Portugal until next march

we’re going back anytime soon and if they order us to lockdown it will be even sooner, like immediately.

Our local Aires are open in central Portugal, plus the campsite in the next village. Everyone is wearing masks in enclosed spaces, restaurants open but with certain controls, and these controls are being checked by officials. Don’t know of any local cases.

Hi Pam and Nigel
Hope you are both keeping well and safe.
Are there many brits around and a about?
Have you been into silves or just staying local.
Laurie & Karen.

Well the Aire at Peniscola has emptied out last night and this morning, shows they're all locals off to work today 😊

Great to hear from you. Keeping well and sticking to the rules. Not seen any Brit vans yet, a few from Belgium and Holland. We aren’t venturing out at the moment as no motorhome, sold it earlier this year, on the lookout for a Portuguese registered one, but haven’t found anything to suit yet. Will look more seriously after the summer. Are you venturing down this way again?

Not sure we had to cut short our winter tour this year due to Karens Mom not being well so it was a quick dash home in February.
But she is fine now.
With all this covid now sure when we are out again.
But if we do get close to you will give you a ring.
And we can have some coffee and very nice cakes.

Still aiming for 1st October ferry Dover/Dunkerque. FOC advice is still only esential travel (surely travel IS esential!!) Good to here Portuguese aires are open, any up to date info on Spanish aires?

Normal things masks and antibacterial gel for hands inside apart from that social distancing around the pools and even pitches are every other. Only found a couple of aires shut and only because they are relaying tarmac. First time in Portugal been here a month now and loving it.
