Thinking of heading east, maybe as far south east as Alicanta., truth is no major plans as yet. Just land and drive

I'd go to Grenada in June before the hoardes of tourists arrive and whilst it is cooler than high summer.

What are you interested in seeing?

June would be good for the north coast and particularly Galicia and then perhaps down into northern Portugal.

Or the Pyrenees, the Ordesa National Park is stunning. Not my picture but this gives an impression, it's a mini Grand Canyon.

I really enjoy my water sports, A little sedate windsurfing, canoeing, walking not on water.. Pretty much anything away from the maddening crowds. Equally a glass of good red and a book.

Ha! we're often in Spain in June, often on the Costa Brava. So you might meet us :Eeek:

Not until we are really retired unfortunately.

Before our daughter was school age we were there like clockwork every June.

That pic of the 'Vultures' (sorry, I'm no good on birds) reminds me of the queue for Jim's bacon butties :)

I like to arrive in Santander and wander off across Spain towards the Med.

You go through the Rioja region and some lovely places.

It will be very warm in June between the Atlantic and Meditteranean coasts.

I have managed to find 'Spanish Spain' in every region of Spain that I have visited........and I have visited a few:)

Still plenty of places to discover though....it's a big place.

I totally agree with you :)

In my earlier post - Far from being, or trying to be rude (as was suggested) - I was trying tosay that, it would seem to me that lots of English people, live and visit that side of Spain. We do not seem to have as many English people living in my area of Spain (Huelva), so I thought that it was a fair comment, having lived in Spain for about 15 years they were my thoughts. I do however agree that I may be wrong. :)

To call areas of Spain "English Spain" seemingly in an attempt to put people off visiting them is disingenuous!
Spain is like any European country, very diverse, so don't be put off visiting places just because some one derides it, find out for yourself!
It is a beautiful country populated by very friendly people!

You read sooooo much into my posts on the subject of Spain......that I did not say or mean.

Do you honestly think that I have lived in a country for 15 years and try to get people NOT to visit.

I have said all that I intend to say.
