Spain in complete lockdown!

We are in Vera and the owner told us from 6pm no new arrivals are allowed onto the aire everything is shutting down

Forgot to say I don’t think it’s the whole of Spain it’s just certain regions

Different rules from region to region at the moment .A lot off new restrictions in Valencia from tomorrow but 6 people max can still meet,i am in Los Alcazares in Murcia, where you can only mix with people living in the same household( special, bubbles allowed for single people and a couple of other reasons) however it is changing daily and some regions are asking permission from the government to have a complete area lockdown. More news to be announced tomorrow after meetings.

www.murciatoday.com
is good for info.

Murcia too...except two tiny Municipalities, however most visitors in Motorhomes either don't care, don't know or are very lucky to avoid being caught out....
Spain now has the strain of Covid that originated (perhaps) in the UK...not to be anti- social, we shall be sending you the strain that originated....in Brazil via our neighbours in Portugal...

Are you staying at Camping Mar Minor ? Do you know if they have finished the swimming pool yet ?

We don't know where these different strains come from nor does anybody else all we know that it's people that spread it , and we in the Uk unfortunately we have up to now had open borders, thank goodness we have now practically closed them, if you send the so called Brazilian virus to us the next Motorhome on the way to you will probably bring over FOC. !!
Main thing is stay safe (y)
ps, Don't we have plenty of Public Toilets here regularly deep cleaned,

Just a little reminder , IT CAME FROM CHINA :swear2:
Made in PRC
and if you see the biggest cargo ships in the world coming into Felixstowe from China and empty containers going back, we are again buying huge amounts from China , I try now to avoid buying anything made in China , but that's where our businesses have to buy goods from as we produce s-d all

Why is it that every time I 'see' China I hear it in a certain flipping orange person's voice!

We are not seeing a lot of motorhomes moving about
The only reason we left the last aire we were on the Spanish van next to us used to leave the van and return back to Madrid by car every couple of days .

The Spanish coupe on the other side of us used to have all of there family members come for lunch , they even had a New Years party about 30 people

The person who ran the small shop on the
aire used to have all her friends come around for drinks every night

The aire we are on now only has about 12 vans English /German and French and everybody is obeying the rules

You can’t stop people breaking the rules no more than you can stop this virus from spreading we can only do our best and just because a virus was detected in one country does not mean it originated there.

Stay safe wherever you are

They had pictures last year but it wasn't there, it was on their to do list cracking little site.
Found on 'Park4Night.

It shows a pool.

Sounds likely that the curfew will change for the Murcia region following tomorrows meeting, possibly 8pm to 6am. Becoming very confusing though with all the changes and I think plenty of people are ignoring them. We have had our worse 24 hours to date in the Mazarron area with 30 new cases and one death.

It’s near impossible especially with lockdown, we buy so much online Amazon etc and most comes from PRC.
If U.K. could produce a portion of those imports we could be in a much better place economically.

"We are not seeing a lot of motorhomes moving about" Because they shouldn't be...applying the rules means, staying put once you have arrived in your reserved campsite/ Camperstop.

"You can’t stop people breaking the rules no more than you can stop this virus we can only do our best"....

The Guardia Civil, Police National and Police Local can, and have been to the best of their abilities, at times to the limit of the available manpower....greatly depends which region you are in, some have been fined in the Costa del Sol, some have been told to remain where they are and checks will be made to ensure they do.....

We have moved once since arriving in Spain and we only moved because we did not feel save on the aire and when we did move we did not move to another region

We intend to stay here and most of the vans that are here have been here for months

Not sure where you are but we are not seeing loads of motorhome traffic

We live in the Region of Murcia...near here we have a motorway going to the Coast...also the main A7/E15 runs close by...both of these routes carry a fair amount of motorhome traffic. The local Commercial centre was well attended yesterday by visitors in northern European motorhomes...some showing GB plates..
I am pleased that you are staying put where you are....many unfortunately do not, either due to their carefree attitude or pure naivety..

I can see why people living there get pissed off with others travelling to the country and abusing the rules. I do not understand why they traveled in the first place. I have read so many comments from people on other threads relaying means of how to bend the rules to suite. Inconsiderate madness!
Also, this is a thread about lockdown in Spain because of a pandemic. Who gives a toss about a swimming pool on a campsite.

We produce a surprising amount but unfortunately the sh*t from China is cheaper for the smaller stuff but the richer Chinese like to buy british stuff, they re very keen on Range Rovers and Burberry apparently.

I totally agree about the sh*t they produce , the Felixstowe dock is owned by the Chinese, the big container cranes are Chinese, and, they as a Maintenance guy told me they are crap, that speaks volumes
