Apart from anxiety/mental health reasons, my opinion would be if you’re that unwell or have breathing issues severe enough to not wear a mask or visor then you’re probably better off staying at home.
My attitude too, if you are genuinely so unwell as to be unable to wear a mask without severe discomfort should you not be at home?

Fair enough.
Their house, their rules.
If you don't like it, you can leave.

I wish the UK had administered the same rules from the start.
Anyone with a mask exemption certificate, means they have some sort of respiratory issue, should be shielding at home.
They should not be out and about in town or in non-essential shops.
Hang on, they've been staying at home and isolating since a year last February. Do you honestly want to tell people with asthma, COPD or lung cancer they have to stay at home until they drop dead - as we ALL have to start to live WITH Covid cos we won't be without it, in our remaining lifetime.

I think it's like anything else the people making it up spoil it for people with genuine problems.
Back in the days before vaccines after masks were introduced there were people out shopping in the supermarket wearing excempt lanyards. If they had COPD serious asthma or lung cancer they were either stupid or brave what should have happened was a system to place an order at the door and wait outside. The lady who was fined sounds very much like she thought she could get away with it especially if they went there recently knowing presumably the Spanish covid rules.

Funsters beware is you are coming to Spain in the near future and you have medical reasons not to ware a mask then forget it or be fined.
We have been here in Benicarlo for the past 2 weeks and on the site is a elderly couple from Harrogate, the wife has an exemption certificate from her UK Doctor and a lanyard stating that she is mask exempt. The site had warned her that she must ware a mask at all times, it is the law and last week the local Police stopped along side them when they were in town, they received a strong dressing down, however she still continued and today has been spotted without a mask by the Guardia Civil and FINED €200. The even escorted her and her husband to the nearby cash point to collect the money. She has been warned that as they now have her details, if seen again without one she will end up in court.

Motto Funsters Don't Come To Spain If You Don't Accept Their Rules.

Jim Please post this all over the forum to warn others.
It won't be compulsory after 29th June outdoors..BUSBY.

Yup.

The maskless should stay away from crowds and indoor gatherings until such time as around 80% of the local population had the 2nd jab a month ago.
In the UK we should be at that figure around September/October.

However that will be when the normal winter respiratory issues all start, which means that in reality the maskless probably need to stay away from crowds until Spring 2022.

If strict mask wearing had been enforced from the start in the UK, we would have had tens of thousands fewer people in hospital.

If I remember correctly the WHO did not endorse masks back in early 2020 but then changed their minds..Have noticed both in UK and now in Spain hand washing seems to be forgotten,,,What a shame I cannot believe people.BUSBY.

How about those that don't like folk that won't wear masks or hate those that stand close to them stay at home away from the miscreants and be happy and stop complaining......

If a Spanish person visited UK and said (in Spanglish) ‘I have an exemption here from my doctor in Spain, so I’m exempt your rules, oh btw the little badge is in Espanol’ I think I would object.
Covid is universal, the UK isnt.

What does that have to do with breaching covid rules/regulations/laws?
You have to recognise that not everyone believes the doomsday headlines that the press and media trot out to sell papers or space...nevermind the profits being made by those selling tests, PPE and running track and trace...

You make it sound like there is no pandemic and millions of people haven’t lost their lives with 1000s more dead on a daily basis.

If everyone stuck to the laws and guidelines issued in their respective countries we would all be in a much better place.

Would you care to pick a country that got it right?

....Don't say Australia or New Zealand ...try somewhere in Europe...

At no point did I say that the respective countries got it right but it doesn’t excuse the fact that some people think they are above the rules.

I’ve stuck to the rules and laws in this country and managed to keep covid at bay. I know many others that haven’t been so compliant that have caught it, need I say more?

How can you be so sure that you have not been asymptomatic and not passed it on?

A couple on here shielded 'hard' and still caught Covid - thankfully they both recovered...

I can’t but I can sleep at night knowing I followed the rules and did everything I could to not spread the virus.
