Hello, I've checked with the motorhome and cc ,but they're full for my dates, does anyone know of anywhere else to stay over please in Southport.

There's a recognised motorhome stop over at Southport fairground carpark. I think it's £10.00/ night. Barbara looks after things.
We're planning to go next weekend .

Keep looking on the cmc website, usually cancellations within the 72 hour window to save an ear bashing of “you’ve cancelled blah blah”. I manage to get on quite a few popular sites doing this, rarely have I not been able to get where I want to go. Also the car park by the fair is open to mh, I think £15 a night, but can be a bit like sardines if there’s some event on. Have you also looked at THS fir your dates.

We’re booked on the cmc site for that weekend too.

If no ones going anymore then all the vans on there every weekend must be a figment of my imagination lol?

I rang her few weeks ago she said a lot of the regulars don’t go anymore because of the prices. I know of 6 who won’t go the place is a shitole but location is good.

Nail on head I think

On a separate point, just returned from C&MC at Southport and “Travellers” were cruising the town trying to find places to stop. They tried to get on the site but wardens were brilliantly quick and robust to stop ( maybe a bit lucky as well)

But the fairground site looks horrendous

They tried this last year and the wardens were very efficient then too.
