Hi all
We are planning a south Cornwall trip in a few weeks , already booked , Looe , mevagissey and mullion , anyone have any recommendations for other small sites , good places , we like the cls but do venture outside the farms depending on cost , somewhere near a nice village with decent pubs ?
Thanks in advance

Pay a visit to visit to the Mynack Theatre. Car park is M/H friendly.

If you do a show there take a blanket and something to sit on.

Lands End is a rip off, Eden is £27 entry each. Cape Cornwall is woth a visit on a stormy day , so is Pendeen Watch.

We used to go to Gwithian Farm Camp site (near St Ives), very nice, near an enormous beach and a pub in the village. It's expensive nowadays mind. Was £9 a night when we first went in 2006.

Treloan campsite at Portscatho is one of our favourites. It's basic as a campsite but two pubs close by in the village and the famous Hidden Hut is a must for lunch. Plenty of coastal walking and ferry available to take foot passengers to St Mawes and Falmouth although it's quite a walk to reach the ferry. :)

Praa Sands has an Aire!!!

Oh! all right. It has a car park where the owner is there collecting the money and there is the availability of water and disposal of 'other' liquids.

For info, Praa is between the west side of The Lizard and Penzance nr. St Michaels Mount.

We stay at Menehay farm near Falmouth. Bus outside the gate, but fairly easy mile or so to Swanpool, which has a lovely restaurant with beautiful views, which you can book online. (There’s a pub just outside, too, but I haven’t been there) We have also stayed at Penwarne Farm, which has lovely views, but is being done up a bit, so more expensive than previously. Has a cafe which does a nice looking breakfast Pubs etc about a mile away in Mawnan Smith and a nice walk to The Cove restaurant at Maenporth beach. Lovely people, bit out of the way though and taxi for Falmouth was 18 quid last time. Couple of miles to Glendurgan Gardens, which we enjoyed, and the beach there is supposed to be nice. We went on the bikes, and the hills were manageable.

Heligan is lovely, and plenty of space for motorhomes to park. I didn’t ask about overnighting, we stayed at a Britstop fairly close by.

Heligan has a lovely campsite next to the entrance to the gardens and is walkable into Mevagissey.

Shhhh! Don't tell anyone.
Funsters can park their van at Heligan and then catch the bus down into Mevagissey.
The car park doesn't charge.'
