Ive used Groupon quite a few times. Once registered you simply choose your deal, pay (in advance) and then you receive a voucher with a unique serial number/bar code (so the vouchers cant be copied).
If its for goods, that s all you have to do, but with things like accommodation or meals you usually have to call the hotel/campsite/restaurant to book your date.
As usual dont assume that th Groupon price is the best deal you can get, but some of the deals are really good. We had Sunday dinner last weekend with friends at a pub we have eaten at a few times before. This time however it was a Groupon deal and it was only £4.00 each for an excellent dinner!

We've just booked four nights away at Haven's site at Thornwick Bay, Flamborough with electric and including £4 for the dog, total price came to £38. Indoor heated pool, bar, restaurant and entertainment, not bad for £9.50 per night.
