    Hi All,

I have just bought a Compass Calypso 220 on a Peugeot 2007. It is in excellent order with a couple of minor annoyances. The plastic vanity unit in the bathroom has curved chromed rails which have rusted off their chrome in places, could anyone point me to an online resource where I might source replacements ?
    Any help appreciated thanks.

    Paul.

Or you could just get the existing ones re-chromed.

Thanks I had thought of that, do you have any idea how they come out, does the whole unit have to be removed can't seem to find anything on the net which gives me a clue. I haven't taken delivery of the vehicle yet but want to get it as good as I possibly can. Thanks for your reply.

Looks to me like you may have to remove the unit to get the chrome rails off they are fixed from the back by the look of things. It looks to me that you will have to remove the four screws in the white plastic part and the two screws that are in the mirror. Careful how you remove the caps that cover the screws as you will have to re use them.

If the chromed pipes have a circular section are they the same as one might use for hanging rails etc? I was just thinking along the lines that some pipes from B&Q etc. could be bent using a plumbers pipe bending tool. I guess it depends on how they are fixed into the vanity unit.

Or possibly you could remove, sand them down and spray paint them white?

Thanks all, I guess until I take delivery I will have to wait to see how difficult or easy it is to get it apart. Good wishes
